About Us

We support organisations across all sectors, including safeguarding partnerships, community safety partnerships, and specialist VAWG (Violence Against Women and Girls) organisations, to deliver strengths based, evidence informed safeguarding solutions. 

Using insight from practitioners, frontline staff, and lived experience, we help drive meaningful change and maximise impact for those affected.

Whether through independent review, scrutiny, or research, we work collaboratively with partners to develop services, embed safeguarding expertise, and address the intersections of multiple harms, ensuring every intervention is child and family centred, victim and survivor focused, and designed to create lasting improvement.

After more than 25 years leading safeguarding and public protection work, including tackling violence against women and girls (VAWG), domestic abuse, and sexual abuse, Sarah Lawrence established Solid Consultancy Ltd in 2019. 

Her aim was to use her expertise to create impact and value on a larger scale, providing independent scrutiny, safeguarding reviews, research, and strategic support that deliver insight, child-centred solutions, and survivor engagement to strengthen systems and improve outcomes for children, adults, and communities.

Sarah brings a survivor centred, trauma informed approach, ensuring lived experience informs services and drives meaningful change. She has contributed to several local and large scale, complex national reviews, including the John Smyth (Makin) Review and the Child Safeguarding Practice Review Panel review of Domestic Abuse and Child Safeguarding Practice, and holds independent scrutiny roles within Local Safeguarding Children Partnerships.
